History

The idea of uniting Varier community members from across Kerala had been seriously considered by leaders and members of the community for a long time. As a result of dedicated efforts, on February 2, 1979, at the sacred premises of Vaikom Mahadeva Temple, the Varier Samajam was officially registered under The Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955 with registration number K 48/79.
